Manston Support Local Charity – Day Out At The Fair
Manston were thrilled to work alongside the Ashby & Coalville Lions organisation in opening up their car-park to help accommodate in excess of 300 disabled children in visiting the annual ‘Statutes’ fun-fair (now in its 802nd year), held in Ashby-de-la-Zouch in September. Some 300+ disabled children, along with their carers, visited the Statutes fair on September 20th for a special opening, outside of the fair’s usual hours. Managing Director of Manston, Tom Boardman-Weston, said ‘We were delighted to support the work of the Ashby & Coalville Lions in providing space for cars and mini-buses in our car-park. The Statutes are a local institution and it is fantastic to be able to contribute, even in a small way, to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy them safely and in comfort. Drone Flight Over Swains Park Development
Swains Park is a development site owned by Manston Investments just off the A444 south of Swadlincote, Derbyshire. With easy access to the M42, other close neighbouring areas include Burton-upon-Trent and Ashby-De-La-Zouch. Having been acquired by a Manston company in the late 1960s, two principal international companies, Pozament Ltd and Naturex Ltd, have since found their home on Swains Park, as well as a solar power facility which is providing a substantial amount of electricity for site operations. The Park has the potential to provide a range of commercial floor space across the industrial and warehousing sectors on the northern part of the site, and many leisure uses to the southern area. Barry Littlewood Retires from Manston
After 32 years of loyal service Barry Littlewood retired from Manston Investments Ltd on 31st December 2015. Barry started work as “Property Negotiator” in July 1983 with our Founder and Chairman, Mr. Ken Boardman-Weston and progressed to Managing Director during that time. Barry remains with the company as Consultant Advisor and continues to provide input and assistance on major projects and strategic company matters and policy, as and when necessary. To thank Barry for all his hard work on behalf of the company and family interests Manston hosted a Retirement Party for Barry at St. Helen’s House, Ashby-de-la-Zouch and he was joined by many long-standing staff, colleagues and friends.
