After six years with Manston Investments (and a far longer professional relationship between us, stretching over a number of decades) – we are taking the opportunity to announce the retirement, yesterday (27th March 2024), of Andrew Buckman as our Property Consultant.

Andrew enjoyed a long career in commercial property, and is well known & highly respected across the industry, deriving from his 33 years as director of Kingstons Chartered Surveyors, based in Lichfield, and acting for, alongside and opposite an innumerable number of highly-respected professionals.

Managing Director, Tom Boardman-Weston, stated that

“Andrew has been a key part of the team since the moment he arrived (or even earlier, as our relationship goes back many years prior to his official involvement!) He was a wonderful & worthy successor to David Haynes (another Kingstons alum.) and continued the tradition of Manston looking to employ senior individuals with a breadth of knowledge to assist in stewarding & growing the firm’s multi-sector commercial property portfolio.”

Andrew assisted in overseeing a period of systemic change for Manston, and took to the task admirably and with great pro-activity. Andrew provided not only a broad & deep range of knowledge and experience of many facets of the industry but also a dedicated, detail-focused, calm and patient approach to the work he undertook. He was a wonderful sounding board for any questions, problems or thoughts presented to him, and you could be sure that his responses would be well thought out and practical.”

Andrew will be much missed by all the team here, both in a professional and a personal capacity, and we wish him a long and happy retirement alongside his wife Katharine.
